The Chile Pepper Diet Plan
There are several reason why chiles can help you lose weight no matter
what kind of diet you are on.
- Chiles can help speed up metabolism. A study in the Medical Science
Sports Exercise reports that runners who ate breakfasts laced with 10
grams of hot red pepper burned carbohydrates faster- both during and after
exercise.
- The capsaicin in chiles appears to suppress appetite. A study
found that men who ate appetizers seasoned with about a teaspoon of
chile powder consumed 18 percent fewer calories throughout the
day.
- Chiles contain high amounts of antioxidants which reduce the risk
of heart disease and cancer. These can be missed on some diets. They
also contain large amounts of vitamins A,C and E.
- Chiles add tremendous flavor to otherwise bland meals. This
can help low-carb and low-fat dieters add more flavor and excitement to
the meals they eat which can help them stay on the diet and keep
the weight off.
